ALUNNI E INSEGNANTI. POTENZIALITÀ A CONFRONTO

SUMMARY

Student and teachers: comparing potentials. The Author explores the various forms the teacher-student relationsip may have. The student’s transference towards the teacher is examined as well as the teacher’s countertransference. The aim is to offer a transformation chance for that relationship rather than place the teacher’s and the psychotherapist’s functions on the same level. The teacher has, on his/her part, to grasp the message underneath the student’s requests, often acted in the shape of provocation, refusal or indifference. Examining one’s own emotional reactions can be useful in order to find a different answer from the automatic emotional reaction the youngsters are likely to elicit. This way, the adolescent may take advantage of a sympathetic attitude; when the two partners emotionally get in the game a mutual transformative action a new creative mobility take place in the relationship.

Key words: Educational relationship; third object; intermediate area; class group; sympathetic attitude.
