L’ADOLESCENTE EROE. IL PARADOSSO DEL DIVENIRE NELL’AGONIA

L’Autore cerca di mettere in luce e ipotizzare la ragione dell’aumento impressionante degli attentati-suicida e del maggiore impatto strategico di questi atti a livello sociopolitico. Osserva come una gran parte dei volontari siano adolescenti; quindi esamina perché scegliere la morte attraverso attentati-suicida in questa epoca della vita. La nozione di eroe può apportare una spiegazione complementare per il coinvolgimento degli adolescenti in questi atti. Attraverso una storia umana e clinica, l’Autore segnala l’utilità del concetto di «contratto narcisistico» se adattato e confrontato in relazione con il tempo della globalizzazione e l’importanza della dinamica identaria.

SUMMARY

The adolescent hero. The paradox of becoming through agony. The author aims to shed light on, and make hypothesis about, the impressive increasing number suicidal terrorist attacks and their major impact on the socio-political dimension. The author points out that great part of people volunteering to take part in a suicidal attack are adolescents; therefore, he explores the reasons why one could choose death through suicidal-attacks during this life stage. According to the author, the concept of hero may contribute as a complementary explanation of the involvement of adolescents in these acts. Through the presentation of a clinical and human case history, the author highlights how helpful the concept of «narcissistic contract» may be, if adapted and compared in relation to the era of globalisation and the importance of identity dynamics.
