EROI E ADOLESCENTI. QUESTIONI DI VITA E DI MORTE

Questo scritto mira a rispondere a due domande: chi è «l’Eroe» e che rapporto ha la questione eroica con l’adolescenza. Per incontrare gli eroi nella loro essenza originaria l’Autrice torna all’Iliade e all’Odissea, i luoghi letterari in cui essi sono stati concepiti e ne individua alcune caratteristiche fondamentali (coscienza della morte e soggettivazione della storia, unicità e alterità) che identificano profondamente la missione eroica con quella adolescente. I due poemi, organizzati attorno alle dimensioni narrative dell’assedio e del viaggio possono ben rappresentare le linee di forza lungo cui si declina l’esperienza adolescente. Il filo rosso dell’esposizione si snoda attraverso quattro temi articolati in coppie dialettiche: la Preistoria e la Storia, l’Unico e il Doppio, il Cerchio e l’Ellissi, la Vita e la Morte. Il mito dell’eroe – in questa prospettiva – è il mezzo grazie a cui è possibile tentare un confronto laico con la morte, confronto che paradossalmente rappresenta uno dei punti cardinali del processo adolescenziale.

SUMMARY

Heroes and Adolescents: a question of life and death. The aim of this work is to provide an answer to the questions about who the «Hero» is and the relationship between the heroic issue and adolescence. To meet heroes in their original essence, the Author resorts to Ilyad and Odyssey, their earliest literary settings, pointing to some of their peculiar features( the conscience of death and subjectivation in the story, unicity and alterity) which deeply identify the heroic mission with the adolescent one. The two poems, based on the narrative dimensions of «seige» and «travel», effectively stand for the lines of force marked by adolescent experience. Four themes are dealt with, through the dialectic pairs of Pre-history and History, One and Double, Circle and Ellipsis, Life and Death. In this perspective, the myth of the hero allows for the lay confrontation with death, what paradoxically represents a cardinal point in adolescent development.
