DALL’ALTRA PARTE DEL MARE – ESSERE GENITORI E FIGLI IN TERRA STRANIERA

L’Autrice, partendo da una riflessione sul meticciato contemporaneo, si sofferma ad analizzare la questione relativa agli adolescenti di seconda generazione e ai loro genitori. Attraverso alcuni esempi clinici di ragazzi e genitori ascoltati in uno Sportello Psicologico per famiglie migranti, riflette sul trauma migratorio e sui segreti non elaborati che si trasmettono nelle generazioni a venire. Pone altresì la questione del controtransfert culturale, elemento centrale per non arrecare danni alla relazione terapeutica e analizza le potenzialità creative degli adolescenti di seconda generazione.

SUMMARY

From the other part of the sea. The Author moves from a reflection about nowadays mixed race phenomenon to thoroughly analyse the issue of second generation adolescents and their parents. Through the clinical evidence assembled at a Psychological Service for migrating families, she reflects about the migratory trauma and the secrets which have not been worked out and are therefore likely to be transmitted to future generations. She also considers cultural counter-transference a central issue in the attempt to preserve the therapeutic relationship and analyses the creative potentialities of second generation adolescents.
