Parole chiaveErranza; lutto culturale; vergogna; plurilinguismo; identità/appartenenza.

SUMMARY

The language of wandering: the adolescent between identity and shame. Moving from the concept of identity wandering, characterizing the adolescent, especially the migrant, the Author investigates their linguistic and cultural profiles from the shame and mourning perspective. The peculiarity of plurilinguism may appear problematic when disharmony between identity and belonging occurs: the cultural, somehow physiological break could harden and therefore obstacle the migrant’s settling down in the new context. The Author provides clinical evidence to show the fallout on language of these aspects, within the intertwining of a mother/daughter relationship.

Key words: Wondering; cultural mourning; shame; plurilinguism; identity/belonging.
