IL SOGGETTO DELLA PAROLA E DEL MEDICAMENTO

RIASSUNTO

Attraverso la presentazione di un caso clinico di una adolescente si propone il tema della coesistenza del trattamento farmacologico all’interno della terapia analitica. Ciò comporta, inevitabilmente, che il setting del processo analitico risulti enormemente più complesso. Il suggerimento è che, tale complessità, quando inevitabile per la gravità del livello cinico del paziente, sia da inscrivere nel setting che, come non-processo, è chiamato a permettere il processo analitico. La proposta è che l’intervento di un farmacologo, non necessariamente analista, ma che abbia
una sensibilità analitica, debba risultare una necessità al fine che l’allargamento del setting permetta un processo altrimenti impossibile. È necessario che il farmacologo rimanga sullo sfondo e sostenga la funzione del trattamento analitico centrale. Il farmaco, infine, ha lo statuto di cosa, che nel processo analitico assume la funzione di comunicare, da parte dell’analista il contenimento e la responsabilità verso il processo analitico.

SUMMARY

The subject of the word and of the remedy. Analytic setting and drugs uses. Through the presentation of a clinical case of an adolescence, we are proposing here the theme of the coexistence of medical treatment within psychoanalytic psychotherapy. This of course inevitably means that the setting of the analytic process proves to be much more complex. The suggestion is that such complexity, although inevitable because of the pathological level of the patient, needs to be inscribed in the setting; therefore the setting as «non-process» can enable the development of the analytic process. The proposal is that the intervention of a psychiatrist, not necessarily a psychoanalyst but somebody who has an understanding of psychoanalysis, could be needed when the widening of the setting enables a process which would otherwise be impossible. It is important that the Psychiatrist remains in the background and supports the function of the core analytic treatment. In conclusion, the medication has the role of a concrete object which in the analytic process assumes the function of communicating by the analyst the containment and responsibility to this process.
