ADOLESCENZA, CONDOTTE A RISCHIO E RITI PERSONALI – La prospettiva antropologica

Partendo da un vertice d’osservazione antropologico, l’Autore affronta il tema delle condotte a rischio e dei riti di passaggio in adolescenza. In particolare propone quattro figure antropologiche che si incrociano tra loro, senza escludersi a vicenda, nelle condotte a rischio degli adolescenti: ordalia, sacrificio, biancore e affrontamento. L’Autore riformula, nel contesto delle società occidentali contemporanee, la nozione di rito di passaggio, elaborata dall’etnologia attraverso lo studio delle società tradizionali, sottolineando che se il loro punto d’arrivo è pur sempre simile, la forma di questi riti differisce radicalmente. Il corpo così utilizzato è l’organo della transizione, del passaggio, il legame fondamentale con il mondo, ma dissociato da sé e usato come strumento per accedere all’altra riva. Tali condotte sono intese come un rimedio antropologico per opporsi alla sofferenza e difendersene, evidenziandone in questo modo il carattere provvisorio.

SUMMARY

Adolescence, risky behaviours and private rites. Moving from an anthropological perspective, the Author deals with risky behaviours and rites of passage in adolescence, with a special attention to four, intertwining, coexisting features characterising adolescent risky behaviours: ordaly, sacrifice, whitening, confrontation. The Author riformulates the notion of rite of passage. Etnology has worked out through the study of traditional societies in the context of contemporary western societies. In particular, he underlines how the form of such rites may radically differ when even their effect is the same. Thus, the body becomes the organ of transition, of the passage, the basic connection with the world, though self-dissociated and used to reach «the other side». Such conducts are meant as anthropological ways to oppose suffering and ward it off, thus working as a purely temporary remedy.
