QUANDO L’ADOLESCENTE APPRODA AL PRONTO SOCCORSO

RIASSUNTO 

Gli Autori propongono alcune riflessioni a partire dal lavoro che il loro gruppo svolge da più di quindici anni presso il Pronto Soccorso dell’Ospedale Sant’Eugenio di Roma attraverso lo «Sportello d’ascolto per i giovani», rivolto a tutti i ragazzi che giungono al Servizio d’Emergenza esprimendo il loro disagio attraverso il corpo, con incidenti o sintomi somatoformi. Il lavoro clinico in questo contesto sanitario propone un utilizzo esteso della tecnica psicoanalitica, al fine di raggiungere una fascia più ampia di adolescenti, e convoca lo psicoterapeuta dell’adolescenza a osservare il peso traumatico delle trasformazioni puberali e i tentativi e i fallimenti di traduzione che il pubertario affronta. La presentazione di due incontri clinici mostra come il Pronto Soccorso rappresenti un possibile approdo in cui un solo colloquio psicologico può aiutare l’adolescente a significare l’evento causa di accesso in relazione alle difficoltà, ma anche alle potenzialità del suo processo pubertario.

SUMMARY

 When the teenager lands in the emergency room. The authors present some thoughts starting from their job on field at Sant’Eugenio Hospital ER, Rome. A counselling service has been conducted by their group since 15 years addressed to the youngest who access the ER: their body becomes a way to express their discomfort either in form of accidents or somatoform symptoms. Being a clinic in this sanitary setting means to be able to use the psychoanalytic tecnique in an extensive way with the aim to reach a broader band of adolescents. The adolescent’s psychoterapist is also called to observe the traumatic burden of puberal transformations. Two clinical examples illustrate how a single consultation taking place at the ER could represent a landing place for the adolescent helping him to focus on the connections with the difficulties and strenghts of his pubertary process related to the reason of the access to ER.
