RIASSUNTO
Le Autrici descrivono la loro esperienza di intervento presso il Pronto Soccorso S. Eugenio di Roma focalizzandosi sul valore clinico e sulla funzione evolutiva di un colloquio che probabilmente resterà unico. Il colloquio offre ai giovani che vi giungono l’occasione di riflettere su ciò che li ha condotti lì poiché dietro a un «semplice incidente» possono celarsi percorsi evolutivi molto problematici e sofferenze negate che solo un ascolto speciale può far emergere. Per aiutare il lettore a entrare con loro al Pronto Soccorso riportano stralci di incontri.

The advantages of the limit. Meet at the Emergency. The Authors describe their intervention experience at the S. Eugenio hospital, first aid unit in Rome, focusing on the clinical value and on the function of an interview which might be the only one. The Authors’ aim is ojfer the young patients the opportunity to rejlect about why they are in hospital, because a «simple accident» may hide troubled development processes and denied sufferings only a special kind oflistening is likely to elicit, through a new way of talking both with another person and to oneself. Excerpts from interviews with patients are reported to help the reader «enter» the first aid unit.
